About Harris
Hi, I’m Harris Waltuck (formerly Meghann Harris). I am a nonbinary design educator who decided to be a teacher when I realized I didn’t have access to quality digital art education as a high schooler. From that point forward, I made it my mission to change that. Now, I work at a public magnet school for students who want to specialize in design. I have both a BFA in Graphic Design and Master of Art in Teaching from MICA. I was named Secondary Art Educator of the Eastern Region by NAEA in 2022 and have been a top three finalist for Baltimore City Schools Teacher of the Year twice, as well as a top ten semi-finalist. In addition, I currently serve as the VP of Programs to the Maryland Art Education Association.
When I’m not teaching, I’m doting on my cats and husband, playing video games, or making silly squiggles in my sketchbook.
