Manifesto

Students deserve access to careers in the design field. Likewise, the design field deserves the fresh take that this generation has on inclusion, opportunity, and ethics in the workplace. As a career technology education teacher, I know the power that is showing students opportunities they wouldn’t normally have access to on their own. The teacher is a conduit to help students see themselves in settings where they will thrive and prosper beyond graduation. Let’s help this generation of students broaden their horizons through community networking, shadow days, and enrichment experiences that give them access to an exciting lifestyle in the art and design world. Then, lets see how they improve the overall health of the workplace as they shake up old dynamics and create a better, more modern environment for us all.
